This meeting is designed to bring together “influential leaders from business, government, civil society and philanthropy” to discuss solutions to global issues under a theme of “reimagining impact.” Among the participants are various current and former heads of state, CEOs and founders of companies, major philanthropists and media members. Issues to be discussed at the program include ways to improve gender equality, sustainable energy and education across the globe. Additionally, the meeting will feature the 8th annual Clinton Global Initiative Awards, which are given to those who have accomplished a positive change through philanthropy or public service.

We’re looking for 12 - 14 exceptional individuals of different ages, nationalities and professions to join us for our next programme in Bali on 1st - 21st October 2014.
For each one of our programmes we hand select each participant to make sure we have the ideal blend of people that complement and can learn from each other. Past participants ranged from the age of 23 to 53 in order to enable cross-pollination of ideas, knowledge and skills.
We require each applicant to submit a bio, an idea or a project you are working on or would like to work on, and 500 words explaining what you bring to the group and hope to take away from Change Ventur.es.
The theme for the event is “Microfinance for Social Justice,” and it will feature presentations on topics such as the relationship between microfinance and aboriginal peoples; investment opportunities; mining; scale and sustainability, and women’s empowerment. There will also be a “micromarketplace,” during which microentrepreneurs and “social innovators” will present their work and products. The organizers of the event also offer a book-review blog, called “microbookclub,” which will feature “If I had a Water Buffalo: Microfinance as a Means to Sustainability” by Dr. Marilyn A. Fitzgerald.
