Our theme this year is “Finance in the New Era of Growth”, which will delve into the path towards financial recovery as well as the multitude of implications from the recent changes seen in regulation, market confidence, and financing opportunities. The purpose of this event is to assess the state of Islamic microfinance across the globe and explore the potential for its expansion in developing countries. Islamic microfinance is microfinance conducted according to Shariah law, which includes a prohibition on charging interest in favor of concepts like sharing profit and loss. The conference will cover such topics as integration of technology into Islamic microfinance institutions (MFIs), “sustainable growth” in the industry, and innovations including crowdfunding and youth development programs.

A new category has been introduced for the fourth edition: the “Orange Partner" award will recognize the best project that integrates an Orange application.
The prize will recognize four projects: three projects with grants of 10,000 EUR, 15,000 EUR and 25,000 EUR, and a new special prize of 10,000 EUR
