Amie Batson
PATH

Amie Batson is responsible for guiding PATH’s strategy, strengthening partnerships and business relationships in the global health community and contributing to the organization’s advocacy and policy priorities. Her 20-year career in global health includes positions with the World Health Organization, the World Bank, UNICEF and, most recently, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where she served as senior deputy administrator for global health. During her three-year appointment with USAID, she led the agency’s engagement in the President’s Global Health Initiative, represented the U.S. government on the board of the GAVI Alliance, and led the U.S. government team in co-convening the Child Survival Call to Action, which launched the global vision to end preventable child deaths.

 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and a master’s in business administration from the Yale University School of Management.

 

PATH, an international nonprofit organization, focuses on saving lives and improving health, especially among women and children. PATH accelerates innovation across five platforms – vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, devices, and system and service innovations – and, by mobilizing partners around the world, takes innovation to scale, working alongside countries primarily in Africa and Asia to tackle their greatest health needs.
