Guest Blogger David M. Peyton is a research assistant at the American Enterprise Institute, where he works on African security and development issues. He is also a program manager for Global Governance Watch, a web-based project that promotes transparency and accountability in international institutions. Prior to joining AEI, he was a fellow with Humanity in Action Berlin, a nonprofit organization that researches human and minority rights topics in Western Europe.

David was also a project associate at URWEGO Community Banking, S.A., in Kigali, Rwanda, where he worked on microfinance product design and impact assessment.
