Eric Tyler is an analyst with New America Foundation's Global Assets Project. Mr. Tyler's work focuses on the intersection of economic development and technology. He has conducted on-the-ground research in India, Kenya and the Philippines and is working to build and manage the Savings for the Poor Innovation and Knowledge Network (SPINNAKER), an online platform financed by the Gates Foundation to share research, analysis and experiences around financial product development.
Before joining New America, Tyler worked at Plan USA, an international NGO working in 48 developing countries. He graduated from Bucknell University, where he double majored in international relations and philosophy, and also studied international relations theory and Spanish at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. His writing has appeared online at The Guardian, CNN, Foreign Policy, among other media outlets.
