Jaclyn Berfond and Gayle Gatchalian
Women’s World Banking

Jaclyn Berfond began working for Women’s World Banking in 2011, managing knowledge and capacity building programs for the organization’s network of microfinance institutions. She also leads monitoring initiatives, including the analysis of network financial and social performance data, and Women’s World Banking’s Gender Performance Initiative. She holds a B.A. in International Relations and Economics from Boston University, and a Master’s of Business Administration in International Organizations from the University of Geneva. Prior to joining Women’s World Banking, she worked at the Council on Foreign Relations and the Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management.

 

 

 

Gayle Gatchalian joined the team in 2012, developing the organization’s online and social media strategy; identifying new opportunities for digital engagement and partnership; supporting online fundraising efforts; creating content and managing the organization’s online communities. She earned a B.A. in Communications Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and an M.A. in Media, Culture and Communications from New York University. Before coming to Women’s World Banking, she worked at Day One New York, Disney Consumer Products and the Asian Journal.
