Cathy Clark and Lila Cruikshank

Cathy Clark has been an active pioneer, educator and consultant for 25 years in the fields of impact investing and for-profit and nonprofit social entrepreneurship. A professor at the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, she founded and directs the CASE i3 Initiative on Impact Investing and co-leads the Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator at Duke (SEAD), a $10 million USAID-funded global health accelerator. Cathy also coordinates global research for $4.5 billion of impact assets under management and from more than 11,000 impact entrepreneurs in 29 countries. She is is co-author, with Jed Emerson and Ben Thornley, of the new ebook “Collaborative Capitalism and the Rise of Impact Investing.” Follow her on twitter @cathyhc.

Lila Cruikshank has a background in business and global health and currently works as a consultant with Global Impact Advisors. She has consulted for several members of the IPIHD network, including global health nonprofit Riders for Health, health supply chain startup Sproxil and micro-insurance provider Naya Jeevan. She has also worked for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and for Population Services International (PSI), including several years in Mozambique designing and managing social marketing programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Brown University and received a master’s in business administration from Duke University, where she was a CASE i3 Fellow and earned a certificate in health sector management.
