Manuel Lewin is the Head of Responsible Investment at Zurich Insurance Group, where he oversees theimplementation of Zurich’s Responsible Investment strategy for the company’s USD $200 billion portfolio of GroupAssets. He is responsible for the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into Zurich’sinvestment processes, oversees the Group’s portfolio of impact investments, and leads involvement in variouscollaborative as well as thought leadership initiatives.

 

Manuel joined Zurich Insurance Group in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2007 as an analyst in the Market Strategy andMacroeconomics team before becoming the Strategic Assistant to the Chief Investment Officer of the ZurichGroup and Communications Manager for the Investment Management department.Manuel attended the University of Basel, Switzerland, where he obtained his Licentiate and Master Degrees inBusiness and Economics before continuing his education at the London School of Economics and PoliticalSciences, from where he graduated in 2007 with Distinction in Economic History.Manuel speaks German, English and French.

 

Brian Smith is PSI’s Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy and Resources Officer. Previously, as Senior Regional Director, he provided overall leadership to PSI’s programs across Asia and Eastern Europe. With PSI since 1997, Brian has served as PSI’s Country Representative in Rwanda and Mozambique, and as Director of Technical Services based in Washington, DC. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana and Associate Peace Corps Director for Administration in Cameroon. Brian has an MA in English Literature from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School.
