Opportunities for the Majority Initiative

Pablo Antón Díaz is a Development Effectiveness Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) Opportunities for the Majority Initiative (OMJ). At OMJ, he is in charge of monitoring the results of OMJ’s operations through its cloud based system PULSE, and performing data integrity on the information uploaded by companies and executing agencies, including analyzing and ensuring reporting consistency of both social and financial performance indicators. He also provides smart analytics for management on portfolio performance (operational, financial, and social indicators) and supports the review of operational documents to ensure compliance with the Bank and the Office of Evaluation evaluability standards. Prior to joining OMJ, he worked for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in New York supporting the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Beyond 2014 Review, and for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Mexico City, coordinating the implementation of a rigorous impact evaluation on financial literacy for the World Bank’s Development Research Group. He also has experience working for the private sector, in Aeromexico (Mexico’s largest commercial airline) and PEPSICO. Antón is an Economist from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York.
