Raunak Kapoor

Raunak Kapoor is project manager, Digital Financial Services, at Grameen Foundation India. He has more than seven years of experience in developing strategies to expand access to finance for the poor and advising financial institutions to implement innovative and cost-effective, technology-enabled delivery channels to offer financial services in developing markets. He was previously a deputy practice group lead at MicroSave, where he worked with UNCDF, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Department of Foreign Affairs (Australia), IFC, Opportunity International, ADB, Omidyar Network and other key donors to design and implement digital financial inclusion programmes in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. He also worked at India-based Spandana Spoorthy Financial Limited (MFI), where he managed the company’s microfinance operations across 32 branches. He earned a post-graduate diploma in rural management from the Institute of Rural Management (India) and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Banaras Hindu University (India).
