Cornell Global Forum Kicks Off

This afternoon in New York, the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University convened its inaugural Global Forum on Sustainable Enterprise in New York City. One hundred practitioners will participate as delegates for two days of working sessions. Their task is to drive “The Great Convergence,” the intersection of clean technology and business development at the Base of the Pyramid.

So says the Global Forum’s web site. It’s a bold goal – tackling the Green/BoP nexus – and it’s something we’ll try to follow closely here on NextBillion.net. None of our writers will be present, but we have some guest posts in the works, so stay tuned. In the mean time, take a look at the Global Forum blog and follow Twitter updates using @JohnsonSchool.

Are you at the Global Forum? Let us know your thoughts in the comment field below, if you can.

I will attend Wednesday evening’s closing plenary with Al Gore, Ratan Tata, H. Fisk Johnson, Stuart Hart and moderator Charlie Rose. Talk about an all star group.
