Now that we are a few weeks in to the NextBillion 2011 Case Writing Competition we decided it was a prime time to offer you some tools in your quest to craft a business case. At this point in the process, you may be thinking, "What exactly is it that I'm writing? Why am I writing this again?"
To address those mental doubts, we at the William Davidson Institute are offering an interactive webinar on How to Write Effective Business Cases. It will short, sweet, and full of useful pointers that will catapult you to the $1000 1st place cash prize. If not, it will make you a better writer and communicator anyway.
Space is limited, so register your webinar seat now. The event will be this Thursday, November 4th, at 11 am EST. We made sure that for those of you on the other side of the globe from Michigan, that will still be before your bedtime.
To re-cap, the NextBillion 2011 Case Writing Competition is co-sponsored by William Davidson Institute, Acumen Fund, and Ashoka, and we are looking for the best business cases focused on social enterprises, organizations that deploy market-based approaches to economic or social development.
Why should you enter? This competition is prime way to get more involved in the social enterprise space, since you will be making strong connections both with people working in social enterprise and with academic experts.
If you win, you will have a published academic business case, which will inspire students to pursue social enterprise as a career after they graduate. Finally, you will be making an enormous contribution to the knowledge available on social enterprise globally, legitimizing and accelerating our movement until social enterprise topics are taught in every business school.
And, of course, the cash prizes and coverage on NextBillion aren't bad, either.
