Check Out a Replay of Our Latest Google Hangout : A Q&A with the winners of the 2014 Case Writing Competition

As you may have heard, earlier this week we announced the top five winners in the fourth NextBillion Case Writing Competition, sponsored by the Citi Foundation.

Now it’s time to hear from the scholars and contributors behind the winning cases. We’re hosting another in our series of Google Hangouts, set for 12 p.m. EST on Thursday, April 10.

Joining in the Hangout will be Sam Aflaki (below left), assistant professor of operations management and information technology, and Andrea Masini, associate professor of operations management and information technology at HEC Paris School of Management in France. The two took first place for their case “African Solar Rise: Electrifying Rural Tanzania.”

Second place winners G Shainesh, professor of marketing and chairperson of the executive post-graduate program at Indian Institute of Management/Bangalore (pictured below left), as well as case writer Suhruta Kulkarni will also participate in the live discussion. Shainesh and Kulkarni contributed the case “Narayana Nethralaya: Expanding Affordable Eye Care.”

This is your chance to learn about what it takes to construct a compelling case about business-enabled approaches to poverty and scarcity – and also to get insights into some of the critical decisions managers confront as they navigate their businesses and organizations. Check out last year’s Hangout with the 2013 contest winners here.

We will update this link to embed the live broadcast below – feel free to bookmark this page in anticipation of the event. We’d also love your questions about the cases, so please leave them in the comments below, or Tweet or Facebook them to us.
