Susan Olsen is Lead Specialist with the Opportunities for the Majority Initiative of the “Opportunities for the Majority Initiative”, structuring innovative private sector operations through a wide range of financial platforms to reach low-income communities. Susan has extensive experience in Latin American financial markets having worked as regional investment office in Central America and Mexico with the Inter-American Investment Corporation, and as advisor to the AIG-GE Capital Latin American Infrastructure Fund. Before joining the IDB, Susan was also Regional Manager for Latin America at Canada’s Export Development Corporation (EDC). Susan holds Master’s Degrees from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (Canada) and from the College of Europe (Belgium), is certified by the Canadian Securities Institute and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
