Community + Entrepreneurship: How community can strengthen the impact movement – Watch the replay of the Google Hangout

UPDATE: Check out the full replay of Agora Partnerships’ Google Hangout, which was broadcast live today.

It’s no secret that entrepreneurs, in general, are a little…. askew. They’re not cut from the same mold as the rest of the crowd. They’re risk-takers, daredevils, and all-around non-conformists. Some have even pondered if entrepreneurs are, in fact, crazy. With that said if traditional entrepreneurs border the often-tenuous line between insanity and brilliance, impact entrepreneurs, those interested in creating positive impact in addition to generating profit, must be even further removed from the norm.

It’s a difficult and often-isolating road to walk when building a company that solves a critical social, economic, or environmental problem. However, entrepreneurs throughout Latin America are answering the call and building innovative, for-profit businesses that are bringing positive, even revolutionary change to their communities.

Meet three of today’s daring impact entrepreneurs in a Google Hangout broadcasting live here at Nextbillion.net from 1-2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday (Jan. 30). This Hangout, entitled “Community + Entrepreneurship,” will explore a variety of themes around the importance of community to impact entrepreneurs across Latin America. These entrepreneurs are apart of Agora Partnerships’ Impact Accelerator, a program that invests and leverages social, human, and financial capital into entrepreneurs working intentionally to create a more just, prosperous, and healthy world. The Accelerator provides strategic consulting services to its entrepreneurs, prepares them for investment, and connects them to impact investors around the world. Below are the three Agora entrepreneurs participating in Wednesday’s hangout.
