Online Community Manager Intern

Calvert Foundation

The Online Community Manager will play a key role in promoting Calvert Foundation on the web. She/he will manage our Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn handles on a day-to-day basis, posting content, responding to messages, staying on top of impact investment and social enterprise conversations, and recommending content ideas. You will join a lean, creative team that is passionate about what it does. This internship is compensated, ten hours per week to start, and has the possibility of turning into something more permanent. We’re open to you working remotely depending on circumstances.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of day-to-day social media content calendar (including blog, social media handles, and external blog partnerships)
  • Scheduling daily Facebook and Twitter content
  • Reporting on social media trends (using data from our social media analytics tool, Sprout Social and Google Analytics)
  • Support marcom with content development, working across teams

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Sprout Social preferred)
  • Familiarity with RSS and content aggregators
  • Attention to detail and exceptionally organized
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (we need to see your writing samples)
  • Understanding of social media taxonomy
  • General interest in impact investing and social entrepreneurship
  • Creativity and a willingness to take initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite desired
