    Associate, Institutional Fundraising

    KickStart is recruiting a dynamic and entrepreneurial development professional to support our institutional fundraising efforts in collaboration with other members of the development team. We are seeking a highly capable and motivated individual who has a passion for dignified development and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, engaging manner. This person must be able to understand our programs and needs, conduct research to identify well-aligned funding opportunities, and write strategic appeals that are well-tailored to each opportunity at hand. Beyond the scope of research and writing, the Associate will work closely with KickStart’s Senior Partnership Officer, Director of External Relations, and the rest of the development team to provide support in our donor relations management process. This position reports to KickStart’s Senior Partnership Officer and is based in New York City and may include occasional travel within the U.S., Europe and Africa.

    Impact Investment Associate

    The Impact Investment Associate is an integral and active part of the team responsible for Impact Investments at the Foundation, participating in the origination and monitoring of investments and grants, site visits, etc. Impact Investments is a core capacity of Foundation, providing expertise and working collaboratively with other teams to advance philanthropic objectives, while also pursuing a major new initiative that seeks to build a more robust and inclusive marketplace for impact investment in the US and globally. In addition to making grants, the team manages a portfolio of loans, equity investments, guarantees and other financial instruments within the Foundation’s $500 million allocation of capital dedicated to charitable and mission-related investments. The Impact Investment Associate works closely with the Associate Directors, Portfolio Manager, Program Officers and other team members, to support efficient workflow and strong stewardship of all financial resources.

    The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) is looking to hire a Manager to play a key role in product development and project management for the GIIN’s impact measurement & management guidance and standards products in this fast-paced growing organization. In this role, the Manager will take an ambitious impact measurement & management (IMM) product development strategy and build the plan for execution of the strategy to meet market demands. This involves managing standards development processes, developing high-quality key impact performance metrics for impact investors, a data architecture to enable portfolio-level measurement, and implementation protocols and guidance, and ensuring standards and guidance tools are offered in an accessible and user friendly way. The Manager will inform strategic choices for the evolution of such products, refine existing standards-related processes, and author supporting standards protocols for using sound impact measurement & management practices to understand social and environmental performance throughout the investment process. Additionally, in close collaboration with the broader GIIN team, the Manager will contribute to cross-programmatic activities related to IMM, as well as to GIIN-wide investor-focused events. The Manager will report to the Director of Impact and will also have line management responsibilities.
