Friday, January 13, 2017

Chennai-based Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), is to become a full-fledged private University soon. IFMR Chennai, now in Sri City, which has been attracting students aspiring for management education, especially in social service and related areas, received letter of intent from the Andhra Pradesh State government for a Private University, said a statement.

Known for its policy-oriented research in development economics and finance, IFMR has created a niche in the management education and is consistently ranked among the top B Schools of the country including CRISIL ratings.

After operating from its Chennai campus for the past four and half decades, IFMR relocated to its new sprawling 40 acre campus in Sri City near Chennai, nearer to global manufacturing hub comprising some of the world’s leading companies.

“We shall remain focused on our flagship full-time PGDM program – which over the last few years is shaping into truly all round B’ School with increasing number of students specializing in Marketing, HR, Information Systems and Operations. Last year we introduced two new specializations BFSI & Data Science (Business Analytics), and I am very happy that both have been very well received by Corporates as evidenced in our placements this year.
