Impact Hub has officially launched a fellowship in 3 African countries – Burundi, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone – specifically designed at helping impact entrepreneurs make their innovations sustainable. The Hub’s Resilience Africa initiative is to launch hubs and two varying types of incubators in six African countries in partnership with Cordaid, an NGO from Netherlands.

The organizers said, “The Impact Hub fellowship is a topic focused entrepreneurial idea award and a one year incubation program designed to attract, select and support impact entrepreneurs and help them realize their innovations for a more sustainable world”.

The fellowship plans to select up to 6 entrepreneurs from each location to participate in the intensive six weeks business development programme to hold between August and September 2016. One Fellow will then be selected afterwards for seed funding, business development support, full time access to a co-working space and a wide connection to network of investors, mentors and coaches. There will also be two runners-up to be selected, they will receive seed funding and three months of business development support. The three winners will be selected by a jury composed of industry professionals.

Entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs and impact investors have all being invited to participate.
