Ghana: Midland to Deplore 300 ATMs, 5,000 POS Devices

Midland Savings &Loans Company Limited, the leader in Ghana’s microfinance sector has disclosed that it would add up four more branches this year to it existing branches to further bring banking services to its numerous customers across the country.

The management of the company also revealed that by the close of this year 300 Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and 5,000 point of sale (POS) devices would be deplored to boost operations of the leading microfinance firm.

The Managing Director Midland Savings &Loans Company Limited, Mr Michael Adjovu made these known at the 2nd quarter Mobile Banking Executives (MBEs) award ceremony in Accra, yesterday.

He explained: “With the introduction of the POS and ATM devices customers can now have access to money in 24 hours of the day, and seven days in a week”.

These devices will instill discipline in the system, while the POS devices will increase mobilization of cash for the company, Mr Adjovu stated.

Midland Savings &Loans Company Limited which gives grants, and loans to small medium scale enterprises (SMEs) including petty traders/hawkers, large corporate organizations, government institutions & agencies, and churches says the purpose of the MBEs’ quarterly award is to recognize their contributions to the organization through their weekly performances.
