Home Financiers Strike Deal for Bottom of the Pyramid in Kenya

Low income earners are to access home loans of up to Sh5 million, after Shelter Afrique, Rafiki Microfinance Bank and UN-Habitat struck a deal to target the bottom of pyramid.
Pan-African housing financier Shelter Afrique will avail Sh700 million to Rafiki for onward disbursement, while UN-Habitat will provide technical assistance on building plans to ensure affordability.
