‘Analytical approach’ needed to rethink investment in global health

To reduce overall mortality rates, where should global health investments go?

It’s more about understanding the specifics that are the root causes of the mortality rather than whether to investment in this or that country, according to Dr. Mark Grabowsky, chief operating officer at the Office of the U.N. Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Financing the Health Millennium Development Goals and for Malaria.

As the deadline for the MDGs gets closer, Grabowsky also shared his views on delivery systems for health goals in the post-2015 agenda, and the current state of the negotiations.
