Glo launches Nigeria’s 1st Mobile Money Agent Network – Central Bank lauds initiative

GLOBACOM, Nigeria’s national telecommunications carrier, has launched Glo Xchange, a Mobile Money Agent Network, aimed at accelerating mobile money revolution and financial inclusion in the country.

The Glo Xchange platform was launched by Globacom, in partnership with three licensed mobile money operators, FirstMonie, Ecobank and Stanbic IBTC, in Lagos, on Thursday.

In a statement he personally signed on the launch of the platform, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, said the initiative marked the beginning of the deeper collaboration between the financial industry and the telecommunications sector.
