Business Training edge curricula in Yemen

SANA?A – A training program for small and micro enterprises on ?Business Edge? curriculums was launched last Sunday by the Small and Micro Enterprises Promotion Services (SMEPS), supported by the Dutch embassy in Sana?a.

In a ceremony held in Sana?a, the Dutch ambassador Johan F.I Blankenberg said that his country has initiated a program that is focused on removing obstacles for private sector development, and for promoting sustainable private sector investment.
?The donor country has an increased the sense of urgency pertaining to the creation of an environment conducive to economic development,? he said.

He added that creating a better business environment was a broad task with many links such as good governance, institutional development, civil service reform, public finance management and the reform of the judiciary.

He said that the program aimed to improve capacity building for running a better managed business, adding that the embassy has already conducted a ?mapping study? to evaluate Yemen?s business environment.
