Poisonous Tree Frog Could Bring Wealth to Tribe in Brazilian Amazon

I came across this article in?last week’s New York Times and thought that it might be of interest.??

Abstract: An indigenous group from the Brazilian Amazon is working with the Brazilian government and the pharmaceutical industry to tap the slime of a poisonous tree frog which has been used as a traditional remedy for everything from sloth to illness.? Although research and negotiations are only in the preliminary stages, the indigenous group is poised to gain an equitable share of any profits that flow from their ancestral medicine.
