Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Airtel Ghana, multiple award winning company has attained another great milestone with its Convenient, Secure and Instant mobile money service.

Less than a week after announcing that Airtel Money had crossed 1.5 million registered customers, the telecom company has announced that there has been a significant increase over the average monthly transactions of 500,000 in 2014 to over 1 million transactions in March 2015 alone.

Key drivers were in the areas of Money Transfer Transactions (P2P), Airtime Transaction Count and other Merchant Transactions.

This is the first in Airtel Money’s history where a month’s transaction has exceeded the one million mark. It is also a great achievement for a Telco operating in a country that is warmly embracing the next generation payment technology at a rapid pace.
