'Anavo' comes from the Greek word 'to light'. We strive to light the pathway for entrepreneurs who deliver products and services that meet basic human needs. Our team's expertise comes at the intersection of entrepreneurship, process excellence, technology development, and social change. We lever in-kind support to rapidly instigate extraordinary entrepreneurs to grow and replicate their impact. Our founder, Anurag Jain, built businesses in the newly emerging Business Process Outsourcing sector and has drawn a highly skilled team out of that world and into applying the same futuristic, strategic, competitive thinking to activating social change. What we do:

Anavo seeks to find entrepreneurs early in their development and guide them in building service offerings for human beings with the least resources. We seek business ideas which can be differentiated quickly and have the potential to unlock new global brands. To do that, we focus on how to scale the unique mechanism of getting resources to people. We take the concept of 'blended capital' to another level. We package equity, grants, and debt to give entrepreneurs the chance to get in the market while also developing their offerings. In addition to financial resources, however, we blend in leadership, technology development, lean process support.

The majority of our team works in the geography of our investment, ensuring that the funding, technology, and processes we bring to the table push these enterprises toward a "lean global" capability.
