2X Global’s market-building facility, 2X Ignite, answers the global lack of women in private equity and venture capital. The 2X Ignite Facility supports emerging gender-smart fund managers who lack the resources to develop a proven track record to launch their funds successfully. The 2X Ignite Warehousing Facility has been established for the Africa region, and a similar facility is currently being developed for Asia. Through this RFP, we invite applications from service providers that can support activities in Africa and/or Asia. Service providers may indicate their regional focus and capabilities in one or both regions in their proposal.
The 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility provides warehousing capital and essential services grants for female-led or gender-balanced fund managers with gender-smart investing strategies across Africa. Investing in female/diverse-led fund managers with gender-smart investment strategies is a transformative way to unlock capital for underrepresented founders and gender-smart businesses at scale.
