PROJECT BRIEF

TechBridge Invest, MTI Investment and Sote Hub are implementing ELEVATE BLUE PROJECT, an end-to-end support program for entrepreneurs in marine plastic and blue sectors in East Africa. The project offers full-cycle support from ideation to investment, aiming to enhance startups’ skills, resilience, and adaptability, thereby contributing to long-term economic growth and ecosystem development.

The project emphasizes knowledge transfer, organizing workshops, seminars, and events to encourage collaboration and technological adoption among startups. Startups will gain access to cutting-edge technology and mentorship, enabling them to innovate and increase competitiveness.

The project’s impact targets include creating approximately 9,000 jobs (3,000 direct and 6,000 indirect) within five years and achieving substantial revenue growth for accelerated startups, with a target of increasing revenue to $9.4 million.

As part of the project activities, we will run an acceleration program focused on supporting companies in the Blue Economy and Marine Litter sectors in Kenya and Tanzania. Through tailored mentorship, professional support, and access to a global network of industry partners, we aim to enhance the competitiveness and traction of innovative companies while maximizing their environmental and societal impact. The program provides entrepreneurs with 100% free support, including operational guidance, expert consultation, and growth resources, helping them validate their market fit and scale their solutions effectively.
