Calling All Social Entrepreneurs!
The FINCA Ventures Prize is a competition for entrepreneurs with bold visions, disruptive business models, or new products or technologies that can create meaningful impact for poor and low-income people in developing markets. Entrepreneurs compete for the opportunity to be awarded grant funding of up to $70,000 to further develop their social enterprises.
We are looking for companies with a significant presence in sub-Saharan Africa and whose solution fits into one of the following two categories: global health and environment.
The FINCA Ventures Prize Committee will review all eligible entries and select three finalists to pitch at the competition event on March 28, 2024. Finalists must be able to attend the event in person.
At the event, the judges will select and announce the first, second, and third place winners. In each category, the grand prize winner will receive a grant award of $70,000. The second and third place finalists will receive grant awards of $20,000 and $10,000, respectively.
