The Latin American Impact Investing Forum (Foro Latinoamericano de Inversión de Impacto), organized by New Ventures, has positioned itself as the most important gathering of social entrepreneurship and impact investing in Latin America. Since 2011, the FLII facilitates meetings and dialogues between the main actors from different sectors across the region: social and environmental companies, corporates, investment funds, foundations, NGO’s, business schools, business media, among others.
As the cost of accessing the latest in machine learning and artificial intelligence drops, more and more organizations are depending on technology to reduce the cost and improve the quality of core business functions. Specifically, financial service providers (FSPs) are digitizing more of the support and services that extend basic financial services to new and future customers, especially to last-mile customers. These technologies—data dissemination platforms, data collection and management tools, alternative credit scoring platforms, digital payment platforms, and e-learning platforms —have the potential to reach new customers in a cost effective way.
