Attending the Women in Global Development Leadership Forum is a life-changing experience.
On Oct 26, 2020, 400 women and men will converge in Washington DC for the third edition of this unique global event.
When you attend, you can expect a full day of inspiring, interactive sessions with one singular focus: to increase the power and influence of women and diverse leaders in the global development sector.
Join us for a collaborative experience and participate in conversations that address some of the most significant challenges of our time.
This year’s conference will engage hundreds of practitioners from around the world in disruptive collaboration to unlearn, learn and take collective action.
Our flagship event, the SEEP Annual Conference gathers leading global thinkers and doers, at the forefront of economic inclusion and social empowerment efforts across the world. The SEEP Annual Conference is a unique forum where we debate bold ideas and learn openly from our failures, and challenge our own assumptions to build the next generation of development solutions in and beyond market systems.
The SEEP Annual Conference will be very different this year. In response to the rapidly evolving global crisis and with our steadfast commitment to creating a meaningful and safe experience for our community, we know that the in-person 3-day conference model of years past will not be possible this year. We have decided to move to an entirely online forum with enhanced interaction and dynamic learning spaces, taking place on October 26-30, 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the social and economic upheaval it has caused, has resulted in deep uncertainty and has accelerated SEEP’s own journey of becoming a more agile network and team. The 2020 conference theme, Disruptive Collaboration: navigating a radically uncertain world, embodies this discomfort.
The 2020 Global SME Finance Forum – Virtual Edition – will be held over three fully-immersive half-days on October 26-28 and will be accessible to all SME financing experts for FREE. Last year, our event witnessed over 700 industry leaders from around the world. However, this year offers the opportunity to log in from the comfort of your homes and they expect to witness a higher turnout of industry leaders who could not make it to our in-person conference in Amsterdam.
While they’d love to interact with you in-person, over the past 3 months, we’ve time and again demonstrated our ability to adapt to the new normal and assure all our members that the virtual conference will emulate the same in-person experience, by offering one-on-one networking, a virtual marketplace, exhibition booths, breakout sessions, fireside chats, and panel discussions, as well as the recognition of the Global SME Finance Award winners, and the presentations of the best Call for Insights articles. Please join us for a new and exciting digital journey. Registrations are open at bit.ly/SMEFF20Registration
Bookmark 26-28 October on your calendar to join us in our Virtual Edition for what has become the largest, highest-level, most technically in-depth, more geographically diverse meeting on SME financing that occurs each year!
GLOBAL SME FINANCE FORUM 2020
SME Finance Outlook 2030
The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown the world into uncertainty and the outsized nature of the impact on governments, businesses and citizens is causing upheavals in the way we live and work, resulting in massive social and economic changes. While there are many disruptions and negative outcomes such as the unfortunate loss of life and reversals in poverty reduction, there is also the possibility for positive outcomes, as we take a hard look at ways of living and doing business that can and should evolve.
This is the context in which they offer this year’s Global SME Finance Forum, where they present and examine both challenges and opportunities in SME Finance. On the first day, we take the time to reflect on the current impact of COVID-19 on SME Finance, especially on key stakeholders, financial institutions, SMEs, fintech and policymakers. On the second day, we take a deeper look at the strategic initiatives and measures taken by individual institutions to respond to the pandemic and to better serve SMEs. On the final day, we will examine what the future will hold for SME Finance and how businesses can evolve, and then offer ideas and thinking of ways to move more optimistically into the future.
