In November 2020, Dobility welcomed Lawrence Li as President and CEO. In his letter to users and partners, Lawrence speaks to the critical need for safe, high-quality data, particularly now. ANDE India, in partnership with Samhita – CGF and U.S Agency for International Development is organising an informational webinar on Dec 9th on the REVIVE alliance. 

In a bid to restore livelihoods lost during the COVID-19 crisis, REVIVE, an initiative by Samhita-CGF, supported by USAID, MSDF and Omidyar India Network, has launched a $6.85 million blended finance facility in its first phase, to leverage private and philanthropic funding to provide accessible and affordable capital in the form of returnable grants or loans to workers and at-risk nano and micro enterprises.

REVIVE will create a positive impact on economic activity, self-employment, and household consumption, giving workers and small businesses the agency to pay their dues, buy daily business supplies and invest in protective gear and other operations to sustain and thrive. Participating companies and foundations could impact 3-5X the number of people over a 3-year period through the revolving grant facility. Godrej Consumer Products Limited, Arvind Limited, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Brihati Foundation powered by Claris, HSBC and RBL Bank are onboard the Alliance.Through this, we aim to engage you on the following themes:

1. Global and Indian companies and foundations reviving micro-entrepreneurs in the supply chain, distribution network and communities, and providing support to laid off workers
2. Social enterprises, entrepreneurs and support organisations and nonprofits connecting their portfolio to this much needed resource
3. Various financial instruments that could be provided under the REVIVE banner to create a continuum of capital
