International Poverty Day Event: “I Am a Power Woman”
Grameen Foundation centers its work on three outcomes: increased agency, income and entrepreneurship opportunities, and resilience against shocks. For this year’s International Poverty Day event, we want to explore resilience: What happens after the life of a program, and do the women we serve continue to see real change? Four years ago, we worked with Comfort, a single mom of five who was struggling to feed her family and manage a small cocoa farm. She was seen as an outcast in her community. She couldn’t afford to send her children to school. We invite you to learn more about Comfort, how we worked with her, and what her life has been like since.
