Beyond Recycling: Innovations in the Bottled Water Industry

Every day, over 60 million plastic water bottles end up in landfills and incinerators, with 86% of these bottles becoming garbage or litter. The impact of bottled water on natural resources is 3,500 times higher than tap water, and 1,400 times higher on ecosystems than tap water. Closed-loop water vending machines equipped with glass bottles minimize the use of bottled water, drastically reducing plastic waste and other resources. Adoption of this innovative approach would reduce emissions by 40% and can generate $700 billion worth of savings per year. Join us October 18 for a discussion of notable developments in the bottled water industry, and how new technologies are dramatically transforming the market. Speakers include Boundless Senior Research Analyst Jordan Farber and Kadeya CEO Manuela Zoninsein.
