Uncharted is seeking an Accelerator Director to lead its accelerator programs with major foundations and leading corporate brands (like Visible Connect, Futurebound Acceleration Lab and Chipotle Aluminaries Project). This position will include both leadership of the Accelerator Program teams, as well as implementation of a program that they will serve as lead on throughout the year. The Accelerator Director is the overall owner of the Accelerator Team and responsible for their ultimate success and impact. With our partners, the director leads the strategy for the accelerators and coaches Program Managers in the relationships with partners, mentors, and entrepreneurs. The director also manages the Uncharted accelerator teams to deliver extraordinary results (while having a lot of fun).
Lead and manage Uncharted Accelerator Program Managers and their programs. Responsible for the ultimate success and impact of each program, through managing its Program Managers. Accountable for additionally serving as a Program Manager over one program that they will lead throughout the year.
Accelerator Team Coaching and Management
Lead Accelerator teams as they work through outreach, recruitment, and selection of all ventures and organizations for programs: reviewing applications, interviews, due diligence, etc
Work with the Uncharted impact team to design the impact measurement plan for our programs
Coordinate with the Uncharted marketing team to manage and implement marketing / communications elements within accelerator programs
Work with Business Development team to scope future programs and partnerships
Contribute in the orchestration and execution of sophisticated office pranks targeted at various members of the team
Co-design / co-create accelerator programs and initiatives with partners and Uncharted team
Manage relationships with partners, sponsors and clients
Direct Implementation for Program Management Duties
From the program they serve as lead on, they will be the main point person for all ventures throughout the program: mentoring one-on-one, connecting with mentors and funders, working on pitch-decks and communication, strategizing with entrepreneurs about how to make the most of investors, mentors, and partners
Actively recruit mentors and partners to participate in programs
7+ years experience working with entrepreneurs and growing organizations: You have worked closely and extensively with startups, entrepreneurs, and organizations looking to scale. Perhaps you have been an entrepreneur yourself, or you’ve led an early-stage investment fund, or you’ve worked for another accelerator or organization that supported the growth of ventures.
4+ years experience defining the strategic direction of a program: You have experience setting the strategy of impactful and innovative programs. From defining clear outcomes, creating intermediate metrics, drafting communication plans, enlisting multiple team members to play specific roles, and keeping everything aligned and focused, you have experience leading strategy and implementation.
4+ years of experience managing large partners: Uncharted often partners with large corporations, foundations, and governments to run our accelerator programs. As the Accelerator Director, you will manage relationships with several of our partners, while coaching your team in how to manage relationships with other partners with whom you have less contact. You have experience closely working with corporations and foundations, and you have a proven approach to successfully manage partner expectations through regular communication and consistent trust-building.
4+ years of managing leaders: You have managed a team of people in the pursuit of a goal. You’re skilled at managing and supporting a team of people; you know the importance of expectation-setting, communication, framing, buy-in, and role-clarity. In a previous role, your coworkers would describe you as someone who invited them to be their best selves by holding them accountable to responsibilities while also being 100% committed to their growth.
Skilled facilitator: You are skilled at helping large groups of people align around goals, common agendas, and shared outcomes (and through conflict). You’re comfortable in front of a room and are able to quickly adapt your facilitation to meet the needs of the group.
Proactive and relentless relationship-builder: You are a natural at building and maintaining relationships in a warm, genuine way. You are an excellent (we mean 11 out of a scale of 1-10) listener and are always looking for ways to build equity with those on your team, as well as the partners that you’re working with. You also know that sometimes the best way to build depth in relationships is through hard conversations and you feel at ease speaking the truth to those around you.
Strong organizational skills: Your success is built upon a foundation of methodical, personal organization that gives you the confidence to reach deadlines and achieve outcomes even when there are numerous other “priorities” and distractions. At your previous company, you built out and managed systems that helped keep other people organized.
Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments: You have worked for a startup, worked in a startup environment, and/or have worked in supporting startups to grow. You are willing to tackle projects without much guidance/structure. You are the one who builds structure. For example, you have stepped into ambiguous and disorganized situations and built out game-plans and next steps.

Location: Denver, Colorado (just north of RiNo in the Cole neighborhood) with minimal travel.
Compensation: $70,000+ commensurate with experience
Healthcare including dental and vision plan which starts on the 1st of the month after hire. Employer pays 75% of premiums.
