THE GIG

At InVenture, we are building the future of credit in emerging markets. We have helped tens of thousands of people access instant loans for growing their businesses, and will reach millions more in the next few years.

The Business Analyst role is responsible for taking large, raw datasets and turning them into actionable business insights. There is a lot of data that is gathered and generated through our product that can be used to answer pressing business questions and help guide product development. The Business Analyst will work between the engineering, data, product, and growth teams to gather pressing business questions and formulate data driven hypothesis on how to solve these problems.

Some of the questions you will help answer:

  • Retention: what triggers a customer to take a new loan?

  • Competitor research: what other lending products does a customer currently use, and how does that affect their relationship with us?

  • Customer experience: how does the quality of our customer service affect our google play reviews, retention rates, and repayment rates?

  • Customer segmentation: what do our best customers have in common?

  • Referrals: what are traits of customers who refer the most qualified referrals? how can we reach more of them?

  • Cohort performance: why did borrowers who signed up last month have a particularly high repayment rate?  Is it random fluctuations, or is there a statistically significant reason for the effect?

RESPONSIBILITIES
