We seek a Creative Leadership Operations Director to establish and implement infrastructure for and lead the operations of our dynamic and expanding Creative Leadership Programs, Creative CityMaking and the Creative Community Leadership Institute, which provide leadership training and support for changemakers working at the intersection of community change and the arts.
-Partner with Director of Creative Leadership Strategy in planning and implementation of Intermedia Arts’ Creative Leadership programming, strategic vision, and expanding portfolio;
-Lead creation and development of administrative systems and procedures for complex and emergent programs;
-Oversee and manage Creative Leadership program execution;
-Administer human resources function for Creative Leadership programs, including supervising program staff and consultants, and recruiting new talent to fill program needs;
-Participate in creating and implementing research and evaluation processes with Director of Creative Leadership Strategy;
-In collaboration with Intermedia Arts’ Director of Strategic Alignment, build and maintain operational budget and financial monitoring and reporting systems, and other administrative procedures to accommodate programmatic growth;
-Manage financial aspects of Creative Leadership Department;
-Support and grow the Creative Leadership networks.
We seek a leader with 8+ years’ experience creating and implementing foundational operational systems and processes in a start-up or an expanding organization. Candidates should possess deep intercultural understanding and experience in promoting social, racial and economic justice. Candidates should also have experience promoting equity and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and constituencies. A bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit administration, or related field is required, and an advanced degree is desired. Strong planning, management, administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required, as are intermediate skills in MS Office and comfort with Mac computers. Knowledge of arts-based community development and creative placemaking preferred but not required.
