Job Responsibilities:

Build internal systems and capacity for private sector partnerships

Assist in the development and execution of the private sector engagement strategy
Track and communicate progress aligned with the strategy
Strengthen the business planning capacity of staff to respond to new, strategic opportunities
through the creation of tools and/or delivery of formal training at the business unit, country office
or regional level.
Update relevant internal databases and platforms to provide relevant information regarding private sector partners
Communicate results including number of opportunities generated and development of pipelines in an effective and timely manner (monthly, quarterly).
Develop new private sector partnerships

In coordination with the Partnerships team, develop and manage relations with targeted donor/partners/clients/trustees/coalitions.
Network and communicate internally with headquarters units to help manage, expand, and strengthen resource mobilization efforts with targeted, private sector partners.
Work closely with Business Development, Communications, Strategy & Innovation, and other teams to drive Partner engagement and relationship activities.
Lead external communication efforts by strategically convening peer organization on topics of key interest, as well as participating in externally-convened meetings, relevant conferences and networking events.
Create awareness for the organization\’s solutions among Partners and assist in positioning the organization\’s services as solutions of choice.
Develop key communications materials (website, written brochure, updating talking points, bios, etc.) as well as exploring the possibility of features or articles in key publications.
Conduct research to identify appropriate partners for key practice areas
Support the development of proposals for both solicited and non-solicited opportunities
Support the development of business models and cost structures to support efforts including cost presentations and value for money in partnership with Finance, Cost and Pricing, etc.
Maintain knowledge in assigned functional area and current issues, and disseminate appropriate knowledge to Partners.
Cultivate strong consultative relationships with key individuals at Partners and act as primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction of Partners.

Bachelor\’s Degree or its International Equivalent. Masters Degree preferred. Business Administration, Development Management, International Development, Public Policy or Related Field.
5-8 years of professional work experience with relationship management, business planning, program implementation or similar fields
Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with establishing new strategic relationships.
Demonstrated experience developing new relationships with private sector funders and socially responsible actors across multiple human development sectors in the United States and internationally.
Prior experience in working with key funders identified as organizational relationship priorities.
Ability to represent the organization at a variety of meetings and forums involving donors, foundation representatives, board members, the general public.
Prior experience with working overseas preferred.
Strong knowledge of organization’s technical capacity and programs to share information and create new partnerships/relationships in one or more key areas: health, education, governance, civil society, social change, gender, economic growth, research and the environment.
Demonstrates and applies sound judgment with managing internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to establish and manage trusted relationships with internal and external senior business leaders.
Ability to influence, motivate and works well with others.
