The Comcast NBCUniversal Corporate Social Responsibility department oversees the organization’s pro social and activities and delivers on the ever-growing expectations of consumers, customers, employees, investors and the broader society around responsible corporate citizenship by today’s global companies. The CSR group works in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to capitalize on the powerful opportunity for NBCUniversal to utilize the power of media and technology to move issues forward in an innovative way.

The Director, Corporate Social Responsibility will be ideating and developing innovative programs to solve social issues in communities nationwide. The candidate should be a progressive thinker, a creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit who has experience building and conducting meaningful campaigns. The candidate will be assuming overall responsibility for developing the marketing plans to promote Comcast NBCUniversal’ s pro social programming, engaging consumers in pro social initiatives as well as work with internal and external communications to elevate the Comcast NBCUniversal brand in communities. The candidate will also be tasked with managing NBCUniversal’s long standing PSA campaign The More You Know and extending the platform online.

Responsibilities

•Ideate and build new programs that align with Comcast NBCU’s CSR focus areas

•Support department leads with various components of strategy management, and implementation delivering key insights to help drive through big ideas

•Assume overall responsibility for developing marketing plans to both internal and external audiences to elevate the Comcast NBCUniversal brand in key influencer space

•Develop sustained partnerships and relationships with key agencies and pro social partners relevant to programs and the business.

•Manage projects through from ideation to activation, including managing external agencies or internal departments through successful completion of on-time and on budget projects

•Manage key legacy programs such as The More You Know

•Bring innovation, creativity and vision into all engagement

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree required

•At least 7 years of previous experience working in an CSR environment that focuses on innovation and idea generation

•Open to working in a fluid environment and you are extremely curious

•Independent thinker who understands long term benefits and opportunities

•Track record developing marketing campaigns for pro social programs and strategies

•Ability to manage both strategy development and tactical delivery of projects

•Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex topics and translate trends which will resonate with business leaders and employee base.

•Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation skills

•Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and experience mentoring junior staff

•Experience managing external agencies and partner relationships toward a shared goal
