The Tech For Good Institute (TFGI) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to leveraging technology and the digital economy for inclusive, equitable, and sustainable growth in Southeast Asia.
TFGI is seeking a Digital Content and Engagement Associate to support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Institute’s content, digital engagement, and communications activities. This role is a combination of research, storytelling, digital strategy, and stakeholder engagement, and will play a key role in amplifying TFGI’s work across Southeast Asia.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
This role is open to candidates based in Singapore (in-person) as well as remote applicants across the Southeast Asia region. Travel within Southeast Asia may be required. Please note that Applicants must have the right to live and work in the country that you are applying from. No visa support or sponsorship is provided.
The position is offered as a one-year contract on a consultancy basis, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities
Content Development and Editorial Support
- Support end-to-end editorial processes, including copyediting, creating article templates, managing content review cycles, and overseeing production workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and amplify research-based content across multiple formats, including articles, infographics, EDMs, carousels, and videos.
- Manage the distribution of content on a variety of platforms e.g. website, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram), ensuring consistency and quality across all platforms.
- Assist in the writing and editing of the Institute’s quarterly newsletter and other communications materials.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the social media strategy, ensuring content is tailored to each platform to maximise reach and engagement.
- Work closely with social media and website vendors to shape, refine, and implement TFGI’s editorial and content strategy.
Digital Engagement and Platform Management
- Design visual assets and write compelling copy for social media to increase reach and engagement.
- Lead website optimisation initiatives, including UI/UX improvements to ensure an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to boost the visibility and discoverability of TFGI’s content and digital footprint.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and the social media agency, ensuring alignment with TFGI’s digital strategy and consistent execution of campaigns.
- Track, analyse, and report on research and engagement metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and social media analytics to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
Media and Public Relations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key media outlets and journalists across the SEA-6 markets and regional publications.
- Coordinate media outreach and press engagement for research launches, events, and major announcements.
- Support the drafting of press releases, media advisories, and talking points to ensure consistent messaging and amplification of TFGI’s mission and impact.
Stakeholder Engagement and Content Syndication
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to expand content distribution and syndication across relevant channels.
- Support outreach efforts that drive engagement with stakeholders in the public and private sectors in Southeast Asia.
General support
- Provide content and communications support for TFGI’s events, including note-taking, writing post-event summaries, and managing invitation letters and follow-ups.
- Support day-to-day tasks such as maintaining the CRM platform (HubSpot) and housekeeping of the content repository.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in content creation, digital communications, or media relations in tech policy space.
- Proven experience in managing content-driven campaigns, events, or digital communications initiatives of varying scale, particularly within or across Southeast Asian markets.
Proficiencies
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and ownership.
- Strong writing, visual communication, and editorial skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Familiarity in content management systems and SEO tools.
- Experience using Canva to design visual assets for digital platforms.
- Familiarity with media engagement and public relations best practices in Southeast Asia.
- Comfortable using digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and LinkedIn.
- Interest in digital economy and digital society issues and tech policy in Southeast Asia.
- Passionate about making a positive impact in Southeast Asia.
