Job brief

We are looking for a Director of Growth to join our team to increase our subscriber base and drive bottom-line growth. You will be taking ownership of our entire marketing process – including creative and campaign execution, as well as optimizing our sales funnel and ad spend on the most effective channels, with the main goal of converting readers into paying subscribers.

Responsibilities

Increase subscriber conversion
Prioritize, experiment, iterate, and learn what channels, messaging and positioning are driving the most subscriber volume
Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, and any associated images/copywriting needed
Test, implement, and optimize marketing tactics for customer acquisition and conversion rate optimization with A/B split testing
Analyze, test, update and improve the site’s subscription funnel
Research user segments and cohorts to help determine where to prioritize
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals, ROI, and KPIs (insights traffic, leads, and paid subscribers)
Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance accordingly

Qualifications

3+ years of online direct marketing with a track record of exponential growth for previous clients
Demonstrable experience executing campaigns across multiple channels – e.g. SEO/SEM, email, social media, etc.
Solid understanding of analytics and tracking tools (Google Analytics, Data Studio, etc.)
Experience setting up, evaluating and optimizing campaigns – Facebook/Instagram ads, Google AdWords, and email marketing campaigns
Experience in optimizing landing pages, user journeys, and subscription funnels
Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience: base + commissions tied to KPIs
Remote working and flexible hours
