The GHAI now seeks a new Director, Resolve Projects, Global Health Advocacy Incubator to join a dynamic and growing team advancing efforts to improve critical public health policies in specific low-and middle-income countries. The Director will provide leadership and strategic oversight of GHAI’s partnership with Resolve to Save Lives, focused on a multi-country nutrition policy change strategy and policy initiatives to improve global health security and prevent epidemics.
The Director will have the unique opportunity to support civil society organizations in low- and middle-income countries advocating for policy change and engaging in regulatory reforms that aim to improve cardiovascular health through improved nutrition policy. A second body of work will focus on promoting country-level investments in preventing epidemics and improving global health security. The ideal candidate will bring a well-developed understanding of advocacy campaigns that lead to policy and regulatory change internationally, be a self-starter with strong project management skills and possess ability to work within cross-functional teams and will have a demonstrated commitment to training and capacity building for in-country partners. Ideally, the Director will bring a depth of knowledge in public health globally and experience leading complex projects related to policy change in global health. S/he will have a flexible and creative approach and the personal dexterity to navigate cross cultural settings and diverse teams. A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in advocacy and policy development internationally and familiarity with relevant content areas is preferred.
