Engineering for Change and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Media Group are offering a fellowship to recent graduates and early-career journalists and communicators.
Application deadline March 21, 2022!
Highlights of interest:
*20-25 hours / week | Five-month term | Work remotely | Paid on a sliding scale based on regional cost of living & minimum wage up to $15/hour
*The fellow will gain background information on the topic through online courses in principles of engineering and design for global development alongside a cohort of 50 Research Fellows (a different program from that of the Editorial Fellow, but the two groups will interact with one another)
*The fellow will write reported, original news and analytical articles about issues in engineering for global development that will be published in print in ME Magazine and online at engineeringforchange.org
*The fellow will have the option to manage social media related to news and analysis of issues in engineering and design for global development
*The fellow will have the option to organize and moderate a webinar hosted at Engineering for Change: https://www.
*The fellow will have the option to consult with Research Fellows to improve the writing of their research papers and opinion/analysis articles
*The fellow will develop a capstone feature article to be published at Mechanical Engineering magazine
*There is potential for future freelance opportunities with ME Magazine after the fellowship ends
*Fellows may be offered other opportunities for continued engagement with ASME, E4C and any of the collaborating organizations involved in the Fellowship programs
