Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director for Finance and Policy, the intern will support the Finance and Policy activities for EcoAgriculture Partners and 1000L over a negotiable period between May and August, 2022.

The intern’s main responsibilities may include those listed below, among others as they arise:

-Support research on innovative landscape finance mechanisms (including development
banks, use of grant facilities, public-private landscape funds, green bonds, place-based
development banks, etc.)
-Follow up to the development of a strategy to engage businesses with landscape-scale
approaches
-Various research, communications and administrative tasks as assigned

The Finance and Policy intern will regularly interact with program staff to gain an introductory understanding of international rural development and finance, integrated landscape management, and international policies related to agriculture, ecosystem restoration and biodiversity. They will also meet weekly with the Finance and Policy team for feedback, monitor the status of projects, and develop and pursue a mutually agreed-upon project of their own design.

This is a remote internship.

Requirements
College junior/senior, grad student, or recent graduate with background in studying
environmental studies, agricultural development, economics, finance, policy or a related
subject;
Excellent research and writing skills;
Strong multi-tasker able to work independently and as part of a team;
Flexible and willing to learn

Desired
Professional fluency in Spanish or French

Compensation
A stipend of approximately $400/month (depending on time commitment per week) is available.
