The Role
As a global adviser – private sector programmes you will develop and support new programmatic partnerships with private sector players, mainly corporates, that align with Oxfam objectives and priorities of Oxfam country teams. You will work to strengthen the capacity of country teams in private sector engagement as well as improve alignment between Oxfam’s campaign and advocacy work and our practical programming.

You will also provide Oxfam programming perspectives to companies and provide direct advisory services to companies as part of the Better Business Advisory Service.

What we are looking for

You will be able to see and create opportunities with business that long-standing social sector colleagues are not familiar with, particularly in food value chains. You will need to work effectively with private sector partners, country programme staff, fund-raisers and other teams working on economic justice and gender justice issues. In particular, this means being able to build capacity of country staff that are seeking new ways to engage with the private sector and build the confidence of companies in our practical and ambitious programme approaches.

Tenacity and stakeholder management skills will be essential to manage internal dynamics associated with work on the private sector and the complex process established to manage risk. You will work through detailed protracted processes and at the same time speak the big picture of our private sector work and inspire others.

We offer
This role will give you an opportunity to work with a group of passionate people with fair pay and competitive benefits package.
