Based at: Trombay, Mumbai
Organisation Profile:
Annamrita is a non-profit, non-religious, non-sectarian public charitable trust.
Formerly known as ISKCON Food Relief Foundation, Annamrita teamed up with the
Government of India to help cook and provide mid-day meals to children in
municipality and government aided schools. The work is done without any
commercial motive and the benefits are available to needy students at large without
any discrimination on the grounds of religion, caste, creed or gender.
Since the launch of the program in 2004, Annamrita has set up state-of-the-art
kitchens and currently caters over 1 million meals to underprivileged children every
day from their kitchens in Tardeo, Mira Bhayander, Palghar, Nigdi, Wada,
Aurangabad, Gurgaon, Delhi, Faridabad, Kurukshetra, Palwal, Tirupati, Nellore,
Rajahmundry, Kadapa, Ranganara Gadda, Jamshedpur, Jaipur and Kolkata. The
purpose of implementing this scheme is to support the Government in increasing the
enrollment rate in schools, reducing the dropout rate and improving attendance.
However, as these are the formative years for the future adult, our nutritious plant-
based meals are of prime importance.
Job Profile:
This is a hands-on leadership position based out of Trombay, Mumbai responsible
for building and leading the fundraising efforts of Annamrita.

FUNDRAISING
● Develop and implement a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy
for Annamrita to raise INR 30 Crore with 10% growth every year
● Set and achieve realistic time-bound fundraising targets, agreed in alignment
with the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees
● Create a sustainable and diverse fundraising portfolio, with funding streams
including individuals, major gifts, corporates, community, events,
trusts/foundations and other grant-makers, with appropriate priorities
● Ensure donor growth by 50% across various segments over two years
● Carry out prospect research and develop a comprehensive fundraising
database that captures all relevant information, as well as handling all
administrative aspects of fundraising
● Build and manage specific donor relationships including with India
philanthropists and global donor agencies working in India

● Map donors’ strategic areas of interest, funds available, grantees, funding
windows, requirements and guidelines and interest in funding the partner’s
programmes
● Ensure increase in average gift size growth by 50% over two years
COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA
● Develop standardised fundraising in close coordination with the Marketing
Director
● Continually seek new and appropriate contacts and partnerships with relevant
individuals or organisations
● Ensure 3 times increase in digital gifts through crowdfunding, website, etc
● Uphold and promote the brand, ethos and philosophy of the organisation
STRATEGIC AND GOVERNANCE
● Play a crucial role in shaping the future direction and growth of the fundraising
function of the Annamrita
● Take ownership of organisational growth and funding, reporting to the Board
of Trustees on progress against fundraising targets at quarterly meetings
FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT AND REPORTING
● Lead communication with key donors and funders with the aim of cultivating,
growing and sustaining long-term funding and collaboration
● Ensure reporting to funders is accurate, transparent and timely
● Liaise with the Director of Operations and finance manager to ensure financial
sustainability through careful budgeting, realistic fundraising targets and
coordinating timely access to funds from supporters
Candidate Requirement:
● Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
● Minimum 12+ years work experience in building partnerships, resource
mobilization and donor relations, and a track record in programme
development, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, capacity
development and administration
● Broad understanding of development issues and challenges with
demonstrated ability to provide intellectual leadership in partnerships and
resource mobilization for economic and social development
● Good understanding of development issues and challenges with

● Should have made significant contributions in his/her area of specialization
● Grant-making experience strongly preferred; desire to work in and with non-
profit sector is essential

Compensation Structure:
The compensation philosophy will be consistent with the nature of the job and the
sector. The compensation will be in line with the experience and value the
individual will be able to add to the organization.
