Laterite transforms the way development research is done. About the role
The HR Operations Associate position will be based in Kigali, Rwanda. This position will play a hands-on role in people management through talent sourcing and onboarding while maintaining both employee and enumerators’ database. The successful candidate will also be facilitating employee growth through regular communication, training needs assessment and coordinating appraisal and feedback processes.
Lead recruitment by posting adverts, pre-screen applicants and coordinate interviews for both local and international recruitment
Handle immigration procedures for the recruitment process
Implement staff time recording system and monitor employee annual leave
Maintain enumerator and employee database and coordinate registration of new enumerators
Support employee growth by identifying staff training needs and coordinating training sessions and the performance appraisal process
Support management in developing and implementing policies that improve the working environment
Support management with succession planning on all roles as well talent management
Does this sound like you?
You have 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in a busy HR office dealing with local and international employees
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Management, Business Administration or related field with a bias in Human Resource Management strongly preferred. (MBA or professional qualifications are an added advantage).
You can competently use MS Office suite
You have prior experience with immigration procedures
You possess excellent organization skills, active listening skills as well as negotiation and presentation skills
You are a Rwandan National
You have in-depth knowledge of Rwanda labor laws and HR standard methodologies
You are excellent in both oral and written communication in both Kinyarwanda and English (French or Swahili a plus)
