The Impact Associate will support the Impact team with two critical areas of work:

1. Research assistance, data cleaning and analysis, and knowledge management to inform our programs and strengthen our impact measurement and management (IMM) efforts.

2. Coordination of Women in Agriculture Initiative (WAI) activities across the organization.

Under the first area of work, the Associate will focus his or her time on the management and analysis of monitoring and evaluation data from our lending and advisory services. In addition, the Associate will maintain Root Capital’s impact knowledge management systems, including our impact measurement tools and protocols, databases, reports and publications, and internal intranet. Finally, the Associate will provide administrative support to the Impact team by supporting the preparation of presentations and reports; coordinating team meetings, retreats, and presentations; and liaising between the Impact team and other departments.

Under the second area of work, the Associate will be responsible for the coordination of all WAI activities globally including monitoring and documenting of WAI activities to ensure the running of a cohesive program. The Associate will work closely with all global and regional team WAI team members, serving as a liaison between headquarters and regional team members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration by organizing global team meetings and calls, and maintaining up-to-date workplans and project trackers. The Associate will also maintain WAI tools, information, and resources to ensure their accessibility and use by WAI team members in all regions, and will support WAI fundraising and communications efforts by liaising with other Root Capital departments to provide information and updates about the WAI.

The Impact Associate will report to Elizabeth Teague, Senior S&E Performance Manager, and will work closely with all other members of the Impact team. The Impact Associate will collaborate extensively with Root Capital staff across our global offices. The position represents an exciting opportunity for candidates with data analysis, research, and coordination skills and a passion for impact measurement and management to apply and deepen their technical expertise within a cross-functional, multicultural team.
