As our Impact Evaluation Fellow you will work directly with our Platform and Cultivation teams in the development and implementation of our impact strategies, measurement approaches and communication plans. Your specific responsibilities will include:
•       Investigating the latest sectoral trends, methods and resources around impact evaluation
•       Designing and executing training workshops for entrepreneurs to help them understand their actual and potential impact, design and execute Impact Evaluation Plans and communicate about their impact
•       Designing and executing strategies to monitor, evaluate and communicate our client entrepreneurs’ impact
•       In-depth analysis of Alterna’s contribution to the growth of our client entrepreneurs and drawing recommendations to help Alterna refine our services and multiply our impact

•       Bachelor degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Human Sciences, or related fields of study – holding a Master degree and/or having a multidisciplinary path is a plus
•       At least 2 years of professional experience in positions related to monitoring and evaluation, data analysis and/or impact measurement in social organizations – Experience in entrepreneurship programs and knowledge of the social entrepreneurship sector is a strong plus
•       Fluency in Spanish (verbal and writing) and professional working proficiency in English
•       Contextual understanding and appreciation for the difficulties and rewards of working in a developing context – Previous experience in a developing country is a strong plus
•       Awareness of cultural identity, patience and strong sense of empathy
•       Effective communicator and positive influencer
•       Change-driver with a “can do” mindset, adaptable and creative out of the box thinker with a learning attitude
•       Proficiency in Office suite – Knowledge of community management tools is a plus (WordPress, MailChimp, Yamm)
•       6 – 10 month commitment to working on the ground in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala
