Job Objective

To search and encourage social enterprises to be part of the challenge, raise awareness and source relevant applications.

Position Description


Selected Interns will be a key part of conceptualizing and implementing strategic projects and initiatives related to Ennovent’s Discover team. Interns will be responsible for performing detailed, relevant and well-sourced research and will be required to encourage social enterprises to be a part of SAARC Development Fund’s Social Enterprise Development Program (SEDP) challenge and support the team in sourcing applications from the 8 SAARC countries.


Key Tasks

  • Perform detailed desk research using well-sourced references, both online and offline.
  • Maintain and create databases
  • Raise awareness about the project
  • Source relevant applications in collaboration with the team
  • Map, analyze and effectively communicate findings into a pre-determined format (i.e. spreadsheet, report etc.)
  • Create recommendation documents related to key findings.


The ideal Intern will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • Enrolled in or has completed an undergraduate or graduate degree or a professional
  • Based out of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Maldives and Bangladesh.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications abilities in English
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Knowledge of the local language in the above mentioned countries.
  • Strong inference and analysis skills and a desire to seek the most relevant information.
  • A clear ability to self-motivate and take ownership over producing quality deliverables.
  • The ability and cultural understanding to work with an internationally based team.
